Statement of Faith
1. We believe the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testaments only, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete and final authority for all faith and practice.
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in essence yet exercising His attributes in varying offices.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and was raised from the dead by the power of God, ascended into Heaven, where, at the right hand of the Father, He now is our High Priest and Advocate.
4. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, righteousness and judgment; bears witness to the truth of the Scriptures; provides comfort to those in need; regenerates the believing sinner; baptizes them into the body of Christ; indwells them; empowers for service those yielded to Him…
5. We believe that the human race was created in the image of God, fell into sin and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature, becoming willful sinners with the first expression of personal choice, and are able, in Christ, to have fellowship with God.
6. We believe that all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God for all eternity by the fact that the life received is eternal life, by the keeping power of God, by the sealing ministry of the Holy Spirit and by the intercession of Christ.
7. We believe in the separation of the believer from any worldly attitude that may dishonor the Lord Jesus Christ; and the separation of church and state.
8. We believe that the true church is composed of all such persons who confess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and who are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. We believe that the Lord Jesus instituted two ordinances, Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, to be observed by the local church until His return.
9. We believe in the personal, pre-tribulational imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His own, the Church, and His subsequent personal, pre-millennial return visibly to the earth to set up His kingdom and to reign for a thousand years over the entire earth from the throne of David.
10. We believe that the souls of those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ do at death immediately pass into His presence. There they remain in conscious bliss until the Second Coming of Christ when the body is resurrected, made new, then reunited with the soul and remains with the Lord forever in glory. But, that the souls of unbelievers remain in conscious misery until the final judgment of the Great White Throne at the close of the Millennium, when their souls and bodies shall be reunited and cast into the Lake of Fire, to be punished with everlasting separation from the presence of the Lord.
11. We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin. We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin.
